According to a report from Markets and Markets, the customer analytics market is going to be worth $4.1 billion by 2019. Customer analytics has now become vital to surviving in today’s cut-throat marketing environment. Most huge organizations look for online users to find the valuable information about consumer behavior on the internet. This helps businesses predict patterns that consumers are going to take. This information is necessary for any corporation so that they may make their business as lucrative as possible. These predictions come from interactions among various medias such as such as the web, call center, mobile, emails, campaigns and many more
Fluent, LLC, though its recent acquisition by IDI, Inc. (NYSEMKT:IDI) is one of the information solutions providers that help these big businesses. It focused on the multi-billion dollar data fusion market. IDI provides mostly unattainable analytics into the expanding universe of consumer and business-centric data. Through unique linking technology, advanced systems architecture, and a massive data repository, the company is able to supply information that allows companies to make the least risky move they can. Some of the actionable intelligence are also for due diligence, risk assessment, fraud detection and prevention, authentication and verification, and more.
The company recently announced that it will be at two industry events in February: The Future of Email Conference and The 2016 LiveRamp RampUp! Summit. The Future of Email Tour will be talking about the email marketing industry’s best leaders and technologists who are redesigning the market as we speak. The RampUp! Summit is LiveRamp’s annual client and partner conference and is now one of the premier events for heads of advertising technology. Organizers are ready to see an audience of more than 1,200 delegates from all around the globe, 750 of which will be executive level attendees. IDI, Inc. (NYSEMKT:IDI)‘s acquisition of fluent could put the company in the ranks of those such as Thomson Reuters Corp (NYSE:TRI), Relx PLC (ADR) (NYSE:RELX), and even Palantir Technologies. All of the aforementioned have significantly higher market caps yet produce revenue in the range of jsut a fraction of the overall market cap. With Fluent, IDI (with a market cap of roughly $77m) could be producing revenue upward of $130million.
In comparison, Planatir (a private company) is said to have a valuation of roughly $20Billion based on investment rounds, yet it is estimated that it produces anywhere from $400million to $500million in revenue. A significant difference when scaled against IDI. For this reason, Investors are taking notice in a BIG way. This acquisition attracted many new investors and most notably, it attracted the attention of attracted Miami Beach billionaire Dr. Phillip Frost resulting in a $47 million investment in the company.
With a market cap just under $73million, IDI could be one of the leanest companies within the sector and with this newly acquired revenue stream through Fluent, IDI could quickly become one of the fastest growing businesses within the data fusion industry; well worth a closer look from the investment community.
