NASDAQ listed Great Basin Scientific Inc (NASDAQ:GBSN) has recognized Dr. Suzette Chance during the STEM Awards. Dr. Chance has been awarded a 2017 Women Worth Watching title from the Profile in Diversity Journal media group.

Dr. Chance is a senior director of regulatory and clinical affairs. She made it to the top 45 women nationally prior to receiving the award. Dr. Chance has more than 20 years’ experience in in vitro diagnostics. She was involved in clinical and regulatory activities and product development affairs. Before joining Great Basin, Dr. Chance acted in leadership positions in GenProbe/Hologic, Immucor GTI Diagnostic and Genetic Testing Institute. Her career journey began as a biochemist scientist in DuPont Medical Products. She was involved in creation and establishment of a new bio-analytical laboratory in DuPont. She has co-authored 13 published papers and assisted in acquisition of three patents rights.
In matters about education, Dr. Chance has a B.S. degree in Biochemistry from University of Minnesota. Her Ph.D. in Biochemistry is from Johns Hopkins University in the School of Hygiene and Public Health. Later she did a post-doctoral fellowship still at Johns Hopkins University but in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy.
