Kat Exploration Inc (OTCMKTS:KATX) updated the shareholders and public on its fall exploration project on its fully-owned “Deer Harbour” copper property. The most recent staking of 3706 acres, is located in a geological setting, with huge potential for SSC (sediment-hosted Stratiform copper) deposits. The Deer Harbour fall plan consist of rock sampling and ground exploration work of Greybeds hosting considerable Chalcocite and Malachite staining.
Kat Exploration said that the major faulting in the region has unveiled a sequence of Greybeds approximately 1.3 km in width by nine km in length. Kat Exploration Inc (OTCMKTS:KATX) discovered minor amount of chalcopyrite at the southern limits of this region. Kat Exploration’s prime focus is on the Deer Harbour, and one more region that was around 3.5 km south of Deer Harbor. It is the upper part of the Greybed, where malachite staining was discovered.
The fault exposure, as said by Kat Exploration, was found along the Deer Harbour coastline. It was fractured and deep, which allowed for a number of copper showings in outcrops. It even allowed malachite staining throughout stretches of fault gouge. The area is an underexplored part of the province making it an exciting discovery for the company. Kat Exploration Inc (OTCMKTS:KATX) intends to start an extensive exploration plan as soon as weather permits. The impact of new exploration will be accretive in the coming quarters.
