NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP) Names Anthony Lye To Lead Cloud Business Unit

NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP), a NASDAQ Stock​ listed company has appointed Anthony Lye to be the company’s vice president in of Cloud Business Unit. Cloud computing is a crucial element for NetApp as several businesses adopt hybrid, private and hyperscale options of delivery so as to improve on innovation.

Lye who reports to the company CEO George Kurian is in charge of driving NetApp’s strategy as well as execution so as to develop a profitable cloud business for the company and establish NetApp as a leader in management of data.

Kurian said Lye will fruitful in driving the company’s cloud innovation and strengthen its partnership with other companies and some of the best listed NASDAQ Stock. He adds that the company’s partnership with some of the leading hyperscalers is pivotal in reposition the company before its customers.

Lye has over 25 years experience in leadership roles at NetApp. Among the role he is has played are product management, development, sales, marketing as well as a high-tech CEO. He as 15 years experience in cloud innovation and previously he was executive vice president and chief cloud officer at Guidewire Software. He successfully initiated the transition of Guidewire Software from on-premises to cloud solutions.

Lye said he is happy to join NetApp at a time when the company is recording tremendous opportunities. He adds that NetApp’s expertise in data management is drawing attention from new customers. The company, he says, has the best partner ecosystem in the industry.

Lye has 27 years in his career in which he has been in several leadership capacities that a number of companies. He is has been in several aspects of business including product management, development and sales. He has wide experience in innovatively building applications and partnering with developers who are skilled in Azure, AWS and force.com. He has led teams in Europe and North America with a lot of travel to South America and Asia.

Before becoming Executive Vice President at Guidewire Software he worked at HotSchedules as president & CEO. HotSchedules is a cloud company engaged in the development of applications for retail, restaurants and hospitality industries.
