Solar3D Inc (OTCMKTS:SLTD) Comments On Growing Solar Job Market In Nevada And California

Solar3D Inc (OTCMKTS:SLTD) provided its views on BW Research Partnership representing strong solar job growth in both Nevada and California. These are two key segments of company accounting in its total revenue.

The report

The annual survey titled as “National Solar Jobs Census 2014,” showed national growth of 22%. It was conducted by BW Research Partnership and the Solar Foundation. The report showed that California region scores top place in the category of solar jobs in the United States. It is the first state that has crossed figure of 50,000 solar jobs. The total solar jobs came at 54,680, which accounts for more than a third of the nation. Most of the solar jobs are present in the Northern California, which is home to Solar3D’s operating unit, SUNworks. As per the San Francisco Chronicle, the solar jobs near the bay are 21,653.

Nevada market

Solar3D and its associated expanded their offerings into the Nevada market. It is one of the fastest growing regions in terms of solar jobs in the country. As per the report, the region added 3,500 new solar jobs in 2014. It is an increase of 146% compared to a year ago. The jump in solar jobs can be attributed to technological innovation and outside investment in Nevada. The total jobs in Nevada were 5,900 jobs, making it seventh on the state list overall.

The management view

Jim Nelson, the CEO of Solar 3D said that when employment prospects surges in an industry at the state level, it indicates the huge potential in the industry. It is especially applicable to the clean technology segment. The company is delighted to witness the strong growth in two states. The overall and per capita growth supports business activities in the market. Nelson said that the management believes that two states harbor the brightest and best minds in respect of solar know-how.
