The stock ticker will also change once it gets the approval of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Until then, shares of Solarwindow will continue to trade with symbol ‘NENE’. The change in name follows last week’s news when the company said that it achieved the fastest ever financial payback when installed on commercial towers.
Solarwindow develops see-through coatings that can generate electricity on flexible plastics and glass surface. The engineers forecast that innovative systems can generate up to fifty times the power of traditional rooftop solar systems. In addition, they can provide fifteen times more environmental benefits compared to conventional systems. The systems require at least 1012 acres of urban land and at least five to eleven years for payback to produce the equivalent amount of electricity.
