It is a moment of great excitement after Twenty-First Century Fox Inc (NASDAQ:FOX), a top NASDAQ stock, obtained the broadcast rights to the BIG3. BIG3 happens to be a high end 3-on-3, half-court basketball league which was founded by one of the most renowned rappers, Ice Cube.
The league boasts of about eight teams, each with five players. According to some close sources, expectations are that the league will be tipping off its 10-week season with four games on June 25 arranged to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The various teams will soon be making trips to the different cities through pout the season, and as a matter of fact playing all the games back-to-back every Sunday in the same venue. Fox Sports will be playing the lead role in presenting the games the following night in prime time. Aug. 26 will be the time for airing the championship on the (NASDAQ: FOX) broadcast network.
In making his most-awaited announcement, Ice Cube made clear the fact that they were super-excited that the time had finally arrived. They were indeed there with Fox Sports and their efforts were speaking for themselves! BIG3 games are expected to be matchups in the most adored form of basketball: 3-on-3 and it would be a huge mistake overlooking the presence of professional basketball’s first four-point shot.
The first to score 60 points will be declared the winning team. It goes without saying that indeed BIG3 has garnered growing attention and that can be attributed to the impressive roster of basketball legends pioneered by captains such as Kenyon Martin, Allen Iverson and Chauncey Billups.
FOX Sports comprises of a wide range of brands and sees to it that the brands reach more than 100 million viewers in just one single weekend.
