Sony has confirmed that its next-generation console will not arrive before March 2020.
In the latest presentation to investors, the company has confirmed that PlayStation 5 will not be released in this fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2020.
At a time when Sony is investing heavily in the research and development of PS5, which is being planned since October 2015, the company informs investors that the news does not arrive as soon as some could wish.
Sony also revealed that investments in PS5 will be offset by the current PS4 business, more specifically by the sale of games and services, such as PS Now and PS Plus.
In this presentation, Sony has confirmed that more than 96 million PS4 consoles have been sold worldwide.
