Match Preview
Leaders Paris Saint-Germain will host Monaco at the Parc des Princes on Sunday in Ligue 1.
PSG Match Form
The defending champions are on course to retain their league title for yet another season. PSG are seven points clear at the top, and they have won all but three of their league games so far. A seven-game winning streak in all competitions sees them in good stead as they await Monaco. In that time they have continued to demolish the teams in front of them. PSG have scored four or more goals in each of their last five games.
The most recent of those was a 6-0 win over Linas-Montlhery in the French Cup. PSG’s last league game was against Amiens, and they claimed a 4-1 victory. Kylian Mbappe scored twice in the game as Neymar, and Mauro Icardi added the other goals. Edinson Cavani did not feature, and the Uruguayan is rumored to be looking for a move in the current window. Icardi has impressed since his summer arrival and Cavani’s stay in Paris could be coming to an end.
The likes of Angel Di Maria and Pablo Sarabia are in great form, and Thomas Tuchel does not have any problems with his attack. His side has scored 43 goals in 18 league games this season. No other side in Ligue 1 has crossed 30 so far. Their defence has been great as well, and PSG has conceded only ten times in the Ligue 1. Tuchel’s side looks a good bet to retain their title.
Monaco Match Form
Meanwhile, Monaco will look to continue its recent rise. After being in relegation trouble at the beginning of the season, they have picked themselves up. Monaco is now 7th in the table, just three points off the third place. They are unbeaten in the last four league games, winning three of them. In their last match, they picked up a 2-1 win over Stade Reims in the French Cup. Saint-Pryve Saint-Hilaire will be their opponents in the next round.

They scored twice in the first half and added a further three in the second. Wissam Ben Yedder scored a brace as Gelson Martins, and Keita Balde also got goals. Defender Kamil Glik scored in stoppage time for Monaco.
Last Meetings
PSG has a very strong head to head record against Monaco in recent years. They are unbeaten in the last five league meetings, winning four of them. Last season PSG scored seven goals in the two league fixtures on the way to winning both of them.
Betting Tips
A similar result should be expected on Sunday despite Monaco’s recent revival. PSG should get the three points and consolidate their position at the top of the table. The total goals should be over 2.5, and both sides will find the back of the net in the game.
